GCET Jammu Announces Temporary Faculty Posts for 2025–26 Session – Apply Now

Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) Jammu, has released a notification for temporary faculty posts for the 2025–26 academic session. The available posts include Assistant Professors and Assistant Lecturers in both engineering and non-engineering teachings. These posts are temporary and will be made on an academic order basis to meet quick teaching requirements. Interested candidates should make sure that they touch the eligibility criteria before applying. These posts covers various branches, including Engineering (E&C, Computer, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical), Physics, Mathematics, Humanities, and Training & Placement. Eligibility Criteria and Vacancy Details
GCET Jammu has described special eligibility requirements for each teaching. Regarding engineering subjects, candidates should have B.E./B.Tech and Master’s degree in the related field with grade A/A+. Regarding non-engineering subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and Humanities, applicants should have a Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks and qualify NET/SLET/SET or have Ph.D. If NET-qualified candidates are not present, candidates with only a Master’s degree can be chosen for Assistant Lecturer. The Training & Placement position requires a B.E./B.Tech and a Master’s degree, preference will be given to those candidates with two years of experience in HR or personnel management. The age limit for these posts is up to 45 years.
Application Process and Important Dates for These Posts
The application process for GCET Jammu’s temporary faculty positions is entirely offline. Candidates should download the official notification, fill out the application form, and submit it along with self-attested documents to the Principal, GCET Jammu, either in person or via registered/speed post. The last day of submission for these posts is 15th July 2025, and no late applications will be accepted. Applicants should also pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200. This amount is paid to Principal GCET Jammu’s bank account (A/C No. 1250040100002780, IFSC: JAKAOMISHRI). The selection process may include a written test or interview, depends on the number of applicants. Candidates with NET/SLET/SET/Ph.D. will be free from the screening test. Final selection for these posts will be based on merit and results in the interview.
